Augmented reality for smart maintenance – a first step

For our EquipmentCloud®, within Bitnamic we found a strong partner in remote maintenance. Rising travel costs and staff shortages due to a bottleneck of skilled workers make it difficult  to respond to the increased requirements in the areas of maintenance and service efficiently and that in a timely manner. A solution for the problem is the usage of Augmented Reality in fields of remote monitoring. During the maintenance and repair, the technician is provided with all necessary information through smart glasses. Through a live video, an expert can support the technician on site. For several years Bitnamic already has a solution, which we now integrate into our EquipmentCloud®. The knowledge exchange between AIS and Bitnamic ensures you a modern and above all practical answer in terms of service and maintenance in the digital age.
