In the course of the production process, a machine or plant is regularly set to different states. A distinction is made here between productive, planned state, unplanned state, development, standby or unplanned time. These machine states are used for the calculation of the key figures and are a good indicator of how many interruptions there are in the production process or how smoothly the production runs and how high the number of operating hours of the machine is.
